Cookie policy
Neither this website nor the Visus system sets cookies, and neither uses advertising or tracking of any kind. That is why there is no cookie banner to accept.
1. This website
- No cookies.
- Visit counting: we count visits with Umami, which runs on our own server, sets no cookies, keeps no record that identifies you, and does not follow you to other websites. It tells us how many people visited and which pages they read.
- Nothing loaded from elsewhere: the fonts, pictures and film are all served from this website itself.
- WhatsApp: the "Book a demo" buttons are ordinary links that open WhatsApp. Nothing is sent to WhatsApp until you choose to send the message.
2. The Visus system
Visus sets no cookies either. To work, it keeps a few things in the browser's own storage on the computer or tablet where it is used:
- Sign-in: a sign-in pass and the signed-in person's name and role, so the screens know who is using them. The pass stops working by itself, and the person must sign in again at least every 16 hours.
- Choices: the language, light or dark theme, keyboard shortcuts, alert sounds, and screen preferences such as filters and print options.
None of this is shared with anyone or used for anything except making Visus work on that device. No patient records are stored in the browser.
3. Removing it
Clearing the browser's data for the site removes everything listed above. For Visus, the person will then simply need to sign in and set their choices again.
